Cannabis consumers are continually being sophisticated.  With the rampant innovation of cannabis products in the market and the number of recreational pot dispensaries in Ontario, who wouldn’t be tempted to give it a try.  But even those who are experienced users and newbies deal with the same difficulty when it comes to storage.  Believe it or not, there are proper ways by which you can store cannabis products, may it be in smaller or larger quantities.  Read on.

A Cannabis flower can’t be too dry.

When a consumer started to consume the cannabis flower, they would have to cut parts and close the jar again.  But, it’s not easy as it can be.  As the moisture can build up once the plant is cut, the potency is also affected since the water in the plant itself already left it.  That is why many flowers resulted from being dry and crumbled.  One way to prevent it from happening is with the use of humidity boost packs and mason jars.  Some opt-in glass chambers and lid while others are okay with the use of mason jars.

Anything that shimmers can’t be treated as trichomes.

If you haven’t heard of the term trichomes, let us give you more info about it.  Trichomes come from the Greek term τρίχωμα which means “hair”.  These can be algae, lichens, appendages, or outgrowths on the plant.  Their main function is to insulate or keep the frost off from the leaf cells.  Even though these trichomes can also live in the cannabis plant may it be, cannabis Sativa or cannabis Indica, we may not know if anything that shimmers on this plant can be called trichomes.  In some instances, it can only be moisture that often results in freezer burn.  There can be no problem if the jar is vacuum sealed but if not, we have some remedy for you.  You can rehydrate your cannabis by using a hydrostone or a piece of fruit.  Just leave it for a couple of hours to release the moisture in the plant.  Don’t forget to remove the fruit or hydrostone once the moisture is released or else it can have a vice versa effect on the bud.

Store in the right place with the right temperature.

Cannabis can’t be placed in too cold or too hot storage.  Too cold and mold and mildew can grow in no time.  Also, if the temperature isn’t favorable for the cannabis, it can have an effect on the flavor.  A good range would be between 18 – 25 degrees Celsius.

Separate the flower from other cannabis products.

Flowers should be stored separately from other products or accessories.  This is not just to keep it organized but to prevent it from absorbing any stench from the other accessories or cannabis edibles.

These are just but a few of the important things to keep in mind when you are storing cannabis.  If you need more info on storage or what products may be good for you, be sure to check out Sativa Bliss.  They have knowledgeable budtenders who can give you suggestions and their wide variety of products will make you feel at home in an instant.  Visit them at www.sativabliss.ca.
